Historical-cost based Balance Sheet figures

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

Historical-cost based Balance Sheet figures are the ones that matter in estimating the risk that a company will violate a loan covenant requiring maintenance with a minimum ratio of debt to net worth. It is good to solicit as many details as management will disclose regarding risks not spelled out in the Balance Sheet or footnotes. Analysts/investors should solicit the company’s customers, suppliers, competitors and lenders and any other analysts who follow the company.
