When it comes to their financials, it is quite a well-known fact that Chinese companies tend, at least for the time being, to be less reliable than American or European ones. Unfortunately, there has been quite a few examples of Chinese companies that suffered from it. Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc (ABAT) is a good example. ABAT has been around for years and was trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange until November 30, 2011 when the stock was delisted. In 2015, the SEC revoked the registered securities of ABAT based on repeated failures to file required periodic reports. Vietnamese companies are not immune to that either. The point is to always fully understand the risks you take.
