Histoire de la monnaie vietnamienne

La monnaie nationale du pays, le dong vietnamien (VND), a été introduite à l’origine pour remplacer le piastre indochinois français. en 1978, Lors de l'unification du Vietnam, les monnaies du nord et du sud ont été fusionnées. Le premier billet de 5 000 Dong a été émis au cours des années 80. Des dénominations progressivement plus élevées ont été émises au cours des années suivantes. Actuellement, la plus haute valeur nominale est de 500 000 VND.
